2022 “Something for Everyone Box”
Our employees had a great time passing along our gift boxes to needy seniors in our community. The boxes were filled with a collection of items purchased from the Storehouse to bring cheer and assistance to our families. The boxes had “everything” from puzzles and books to shampoo and sanitation wipes. Giving to our seniors is what our caregivers do everyday and this time of year they were excited to add a little gift to their care.
2020 Chairs of Joy
Our pioneering activity for our new charity was an exciting chair donation initiative completed with the help of MSC employees, their family members, the Storehouse of Grand Rapids. St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Area Agency of Aging. For seniors that are physically limited, the comfort and stability of a recliner chair has a big impact on their daily physical well-being. MSCC was very pleased to be given the opportunity to work with The Storehouse of Community Resources in providing Thomasville Chairs from the Storehouse for needy seniors and greatly appreciates St. Isidore church letting us store the chairs at their facility. Employees of MSC and Area Agency of Aging were asked to nominate seniors that were in need of new recliner chairs. During the month of December, MSCC delivered and set-up 78 power recliner chairs throughout Grand Rapids and Saranac for qualifying seniors.
