INTRODUCING OUR PARTNER
MSC is excited to work with Care Resources to help seniors in Kent and Ionia counties continue to live independently. Care Resources is a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). PACE is a federal- and state-funded program throughout the country. The PACE model is centered on the belief that it is better for seniors to be served in their own community whenever possible. This partnership expands the families that we are able to help and increases the opportunities for you.
PACE Credentialed
To get started, you will need to be credentialed to care for PACE participants. You have already met most of the requirements, however, PACE has a couple more requirements than our other partners. The training on PACE that you recently completed was step 1 in the process.
Steps 2 & 3 require Caregivers to pass a TB test, have a current season Flu Vaccine and the Covid Vaccine (or approved exemption). (You only need to complete the TB test, if you do not have a record of passing a 2 step TB test within the last 12 months.)
Getting Tested
To make this as convenient as possible, we have arranged to have both the TB test and the vaccinations administered at the same time at Med-1 Occupational Health. There is no charge for the TB test, however, you will need to use your health insurance to cover the Flu Vaccine. We will give you the Order Form that you will need for your visit. No appointment necessary.
