Safety Tips from the CDC - COVID 19

Subject: ACL.gov/COVID-19: Info for Older Adults and People with Disabilities

At this time, CDC recommends that everyone, regardless of age or disability, take the same precautions to avoid illness. These include the following everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of all respiratory diseases, including colds and flu:

  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.

  • Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Staying home when you are sick.

  • Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throwing the tissue in the trash.

  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

  • Following CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask.

    • CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.

    • Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to  others. The use of facemasks is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility).

  • Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

    • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

Performance Review workflow

We have begun the 2019 Performance Reviews. If you were hired before July 1, 2019, you will soon receive an email with a link to the Performance Review form in Paycor. The first step in the process is for you to input your feedback on how you are doing. Once that is done you will be contacted by the office to begin the next step.

The worklfow is shown below. For now, the thing to remember is to check your email until the process is complete and find your Paycor password. If you have any trouble signing in, please call the office at 616-234-0190.

2020 Goals and Objectives

To All Employees -

The 1st quarter is well under way and we are excited to share with you our plans for the year. As we look forward to 2020, we are again reminded that we have been blessed with a unique opportunity to help the families of our communities. Did you know that in the last 5 years, we have been able to provide over 100,000 hours of care? And now in just 2020, we are planning for 40,000 hours!

Managed Senior Care 2020 mission.jpg

Nora and I are very aware that Managed Senior Care is only successful, because of our team members and the care that you provide. It is our goal to provide an environment where you feel valued, supported and equipped to provide the care your seniors need.

To that end and in support of our Strategic goals, we will be focusing on utilizing Paycor HR an Learning to a greater extend this year. Paycor will improve our HR consistency and your experience with the company.

Over the next few weeks, you will be receiving your 2019 Performance Review and setting your goals for 2020. We are committed to an open environment where performance feedback enhances your experience working with us and your ideas for improvement are heard. Together we can continue to do great things.

In addition to continuing to grow our utilization of the Paycor HR and remote learning tools, we will be offering regular in-person training opportunities at our office this year. We want to make sure you have convenient options to get the training you need to be safe and confident. Our next course is "Caring for Yourself while Caring for Others" and will be offered in-person on March 26 and through Paycor Learning. More information will follow.

As always, we encourage you to take advantage our Open Door policy and reach out to Nora or I anytime you have a concern or want to share an idea. We appreciate all that you do.
