Providing help to families that are caring for their senior loved one has been the most amazing joy of Nora and my lives. Not only do we know good is being done for families all over Western Michigan, but we know that God is being glorified and praised due to your work. All of you toil tirelessly to take care of His children and we are so glad that this month is set aside every year to acknowledge how incredibly important what you do is.
"This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord's people, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God..." . 2 Cor 9:12-14.
This year we are endeavoring to Spotlight one amazing employee every day that embodies the generosity and caring that every family prays for in the person caring for their parents. Our First Caregiver Spotlight of 2020 is Allison Holleman.
CAREGIVER SPOTLIGHT #1
Allison Holleman
We are blessed to have had Allison’s help since she became a caregiver for us in 2016 after her friend who is also a caregiver got her into it. Being able to spend time with her clients motivates her to continue her work and do as much as she can until she is unable to work anymore. When she isn’t working, Allison enjoys going out to eat and would love the opportunity to learn Spanish. Her favorite holiday is Halloween because of the amazing costumes kids wear and the joy they get upon receiving candy. Allison’s piece of advice is to remember to have lots of patience and compassion, not just for others but for yourself as well.
