It seems like we have been dealing with this pandemic forever at this point and we are all tired of the stress and adjustments we’ve had to make. Unfortunately, the risks are not over and we are still experiencing a Covid positive rate of more than 10% in Kent County. Here at Managed Seniors Care we have recently started seeing 1 to 2 people (both caregivers and clients) diagnosed with Covid19 each week again.
Just a few reminders:
Masks must be worn by all caregivers, regardless of vaccination status.
The senior should wear a mask if you are working within 6 feet of them. All appropriate PPE should be worn, if you are performing personal care.
Masks must be worn by both caregiver and client inside of a vehicle.
A clean apron needs to be worn at every client’s home. You can pick up an apron at the office during regular business hours.
Do not go to work if you are experiencing symptoms of fever, cough, diarrhea, vomiting. Call the office immediately. Even though you only answer the exposure questions once a week in ClearCare, you are still expected to comply with the protocol of calling the office anytime you feel sick.
We are also receiving more requests for only vaccinated caregivers to be assigned by our clients. If you have not done so, please text a photo of your vaccination card to the office number 616-234-0190 in order to be included in these work opportunities.
Caregiver Appreciation night - if things stay stable with Covid, we should be able to host our annual Caregiver Appreciation dinner again this year. Please pencil in Nov 9 for dinner with your Managed Senior Care team.
Our Annual AFLAC supplemental insurance event will be coming up soon, along with Open Enrollment for Medicare. Watch for more information to be sent to your email.
Happy Fall everyone - enjoy a Pumpkin Latte for me.
