So I recently learned that May is celebrated as National Recommitment Month. It is intended to be a time set aside for us to reevaluate the important areas of our lives. I might of missed May, but it seems to me that any day is a good day to share how much you appreciate others that are making you a part of their lives.
Nora and I would like to take this opportunity to express that you are important to us and we value your commitment to Seniors Helping Seniors. We also would like to encourage you to take a look at what you are committed to. This could range from relationship goals, more downtime, and more exercise to saving and spending time with loved ones. It is a great time to remember that if it’s significant to you, it matters.
Driving Reminders
Can You Drive?
Only approved Drivers are allowed to drive clients or on behalf of a client. If you are unsure whether you were approved for driving, call the office and confirm prior to any trip. Insurance coverages are substantially impacted, if you are not an approved driver and you drive anyway.
Driving Requirements
Driving on behalf of a client with/or without them in your car is only done when you have a TASK for it on your shift. The task ERRANDS or DRIVE TO... are the items you are looking for. If these tasks are not on the shift, you need to call the office first to obtain approval to drive for the client. Thank you for your help.
Time Off Request Process
As we go into this beautiful Michigan summer, just a quick reminder that time off requests should be text to the Schedulers at 616-234-0190. Include in your message whether you want to use PTO and how many hours. You can always find your available PTO balance on your Gusto app.
